Now was the perfect time of year to do this wonder families photos! We went to Lake Wilderness Arboretum and had some lovely flowers in bloom and a perfect overcast no rain day. Since I was taking photos of young kids we acted fast and efficient setting them all down and taking some photos as quick as we can before they were all done. The goal was to also get some photos of the girls as well. Sisters are the best! They are just so goofy and adorable all together. Mom also wanted to have a photo of each girl being themselves. This is classic Saya, goofy and so much fun. Sweet little Priya And little baby Freya, I can't wait to see what her personality will be like. And then just getting some fun candid photos of them all together. Little Priya was completely mean mugging me, but I love her little face. Ending with a little love and smiles from mom and Priya, I just loved this little candid photo of the two of them.

Taking a self portrait is never easy! Add a kid into the mix and get double the difficulties, but I think I managed fairly well. Only took about 37 throw away photos to get these 3 photos that I liked. There not perfect by any means but I'm happy with them and I captured what I wanted. Babywearing this wrap one last time before I sent it off to a new home. This wrap is Kokoskaa Pebbles Cotton Candy, it is always so bittersweet to sell a wrap and get it into a new home. On one hand I'm so sad to see it go because it is lovely but on the other hand I'm glad it will be worn more than what it will at our house. I know many people may not understand the love of wrapping, but for those that do fully understand know my sadness! Babywearing has been both a life saver and a sanity saver. I love it so much and will be sad when we are done, although that won't be for a few more years, but these wearing days are numbered and lately I have started to realize those numbers will eventually be gone. As always babywearing for the WIN!
This photo project is 10 photos on the 10th of each month. I started participating in this photo project after following another local photographer friend Sara Arrigoni of The Blessed Everyday Photography through her 10-on-10 project. I wasn't sure I was going to be doing this months photo project, but I've missed getting out my camera to take photos of my girls. Melia is such a great little model for me when she wants to be. Emery is at the very hard stage to photograph, she is on the move so much and she never wants to sit still and definitely doesn't listen. In the two below photos the perfect example of how different these girls are to photograph. Melia I told her to just put the book covering her face while Emery was just doing her own thing and eating the book like usual. Window light is so much fun to play with, it always creates such dramatic photos. Since I didn't intent this photo I didn't get around to cleaning off the window. Next time! This photo Melia really wanted to take a photo, but with my camera being heavy I'm not really going to let her use it on her own, so I helped hold it, focus it and then she clicked the photo and kinda guided where to point the photo. This is what she took a cut off photo, but it still turned out cute! Emery always does this little scrunchy face, it is just too adorable and sometimes she even growls and puts her hands up like claws. These two don't always play well together, but when they do I'm so happy. Before this though they were screaming at each other and I had to remind Melia that Emery doesn't always know how to play together so big sister has to show her and help her. This kid is just too adorable!!! I love her serious and funny faces! She is my good little model as long as it only takes a few minutes then she is done and off playing. Emery was wanting to be in the photo as well, but girl doesn't know how to sit and listen to directions just yet! During nap time Melia gets to play with her little shopkin toys, since these aren't little toddler friendly they don't get to come out as often as she would like.
While this day I didn't have my camera out the whole day I'm glad I still brought it out for part of the day to capture these two trouble makers in action. I've got to stay on top of documenting their little lives, it goes by so fast! This photo project is 10 photos nn the 10th of each month. I started participating in this photo project after following another local photographer friend Sara Arrigoni of The Blessed Everyday Photography through her 10-on-10 project. I haven't been the greatest at doing this project lately, life has been busy and while most months I've gotten out my camera and taken some photos on the 10th I just haven't been able to get around to editing, posting and blogging about them like I should be. Here is to a new year and getting back on track with this photo project. As usual the day in the life of our little family. We have been stuck at home the last few weeks with the cold/fever that has been going around. Each of the girls got 2 rounds of colds and I hope we are finally over it all and won't get sick again. We miss going out and doing things, even though the weather is cold it still would be nice to be out in it verses stuck inside! This little trouble maker has been causing the most issues!! She is constantly getting anything to use to help her climb and get into mischief and she is absolutely driving me insane!! Here is her being caught in the act 2 times out of the many that day. These next few photos are from a personal project I'm starting to work on, while these aren't the exact ones I'm using for that project they are other cute ones from the set that I took. Eventually I'll blog and share those photos, once I've gotten some more taken, but not yet. And Melia's little hand pose was not directed at all, she did it all by herself, funny kid! What funny cute kids I've got! They may drive me nuts most of the day, but I love them!
Photographing kids can be very challenging. For the littlest one Finn, it was keeping his propped up since he doesn't have the body control to hold himself up. The oldest one Melia was bribed with ice cream to take photos. While the youngest one Emery was the hardest, we all had to work fast to keep resting kids and get them looking at the camera. Not an easy task, but between the four of us (my 2 sisters, my mom and I) we managed to get some great photos. I had another set initially planned for these photos, but after we came home from black Friday shopping with the new Christmas pj's we just decided lets go for it and get them done. The room with the most light is in my parents house in their bedroom, so I took down the wall art, got a white comforter from the other bedroom and took some pillows from other places in the house and we had our simple yet perfectly cozy set on the bed. Here are the adorable photos of my parents 3 grand babies! And the funny outtakes from the session with my youngest being the most difficult.
My sister's first family Christmas photos with the new little addition Finn. Since they weren't able to make both their schedules work during the tree farm photos we made photos work at my parents place with my dad's trees. I can't wait to take more holiday photos of my adorable little nephew. Stay tuned for the photos I took of the 3 cousins, my 2 girls and Finn, they were a bit of a handful getting them all together. Well actually Emery made it challenging. Enjoy looking the first Cline Holiday Family photos. What a beautiful family they are!
Another successful day of mini sessions at the tree farm! I have to say I absolutely loved doing these, even though my original scheduled day was rained out, we still made these happen and I'm so glad. I want to keep on doing these every year, I just loved doing them so much! I had two more families on this overcast Saturday at Papa's Tree Farm in Maple Valley. It was a little chilly due to wind but we made it work. Enjoy looking through these two lovely family's photos. Ling FamilyKincaid FamilyTree farm sessions are so much fun! I can't wait to do them again next year and I can't wait to go to Papa's Tree Farm again this year to get our Christmas tree.
This is my first year doing the Christmas Tree Farm Mini family sessions and I loved it! The tree farm that we used was Papa's Tree Farm and they are just wonderful to work with and their farm is just great! Walked through with both the sessions on Saturday and used the whole farm. We got lucky on Saturday with a perfect overcast day, it was a little windy, but that was much preferred to the rain the previous week which is what was originally scheduled. I've got another set of reschedules for next week, hopefully weather plays nice again! Enjoy looking through both of these lovely families photos! The Deacon FamilyThe Gonzalez FamilyBoth of family were both great to work with and photograph! We got so many great photos and I love them all!
Well I'm well behind on editing and posting my monthly photos! I've taken them, I just haven't gotten around to editing. This month I wanted to make sure I posted them. Here they are! Melia was being goofy all day from morning to evening. Wearing her unicorn onesie, posing as a pregnant mama and helping dad fix the tub. She is also working on letters and every week she is painting a new letter with watercolors. And Emery's turn for photos! She got a new baby doll and she loves carrying it around. She also loved sitting on the rocking horse. Playing around with the local wrap company's woven wraps that I got at the Baby Bump Expo. Pacific Northwest Wovens pictured is their bag, mug and Enchantments in Icicle Creek (teal blue color) and Dragontail (raspberry and purple) Yes I still wear Melia! Usually not for long, but I still wear her and she loves getting mama snuggles...and a lollipop!
