Well I'm well behind on editing and posting my monthly photos! I've taken them, I just haven't gotten around to editing. This month I wanted to make sure I posted them. Here they are! Melia was being goofy all day from morning to evening. Wearing her unicorn onesie, posing as a pregnant mama and helping dad fix the tub. She is also working on letters and every week she is painting a new letter with watercolors. And Emery's turn for photos! She got a new baby doll and she loves carrying it around. She also loved sitting on the rocking horse. Playing around with the local wrap company's woven wraps that I got at the Baby Bump Expo. Pacific Northwest Wovens pictured is their bag, mug and Enchantments in Icicle Creek (teal blue color) and Dragontail (raspberry and purple) Yes I still wear Melia! Usually not for long, but I still wear her and she loves getting mama snuggles...and a lollipop!

Sometimes I get into these really crafty moods and having Pintrest increases that desire to craft. I came across this DIY watercolor business card that I absolutely loved! From there I knew I was going to have fun with making my business cards and create them myself, yes I knew it would take more time to hand make everyone, but they are so unique and fun that I just had to do it. Thankfully I already had a set of basic watercolors, watercolor paper (which adds some fun texture) and some brushes. But I will be needing to buy some more paper, as I've now used what I have up. The next problem was trying to figure out how to get a stamp of my information without spending a load of money. I then came across this blog telling me I could find the wooden stamp at Staples. Martha Stewart also has one similar, but I asked a question on Amazon and someone replied back saying the little letters didn't stay well. I like the stamp set from Staples, the only think is I wish it was a little bigger so I didn't have to use the smaller one to fit in all the information without looking so crunched. Next I wanted to add a camera stamp to quickly identify my cards as a photography business. I searched for camera stamps, but wasn't liking the price nor finding the size that would fit what I needed. So off to look for hand carved stamps which I found a simple tutorial on YouTube. This was fun to make, I want to make some more stamps for fun, especially since I have more rubber to use up. After I had all the pieces, it was just a matter of putting them all together. I still have some kinks to work out, eventually I want to change my site and take out the weebly part, which is a reason why I didn't want to buy already made cards. The thing I love about these is that each card is different, even when I try to do the same color combination and make it look the same, it still comes out different. Would you make your own business cards (if time wasn't an issue) or do you prefer to just have them professionally printed?
