Having a toddler and a baby makes wrapping so necessary, it is great to be able to be hands free but holding a baby while still being able to interact with the other sibling. That is part of what I also wanted to capture, the convenience the wrapping for families.
I photographed a session for Kelsy and the Kokoskaa Daydream wrap she is testing for the company. We went to Lake Wilderness Arboretum and walked around the trails having fun take photos. This wrap is gorgeous, but so is this family! Having a toddler and a baby makes wrapping so necessary, it is great to be able to be hands free but holding a baby while still being able to interact with the other sibling. That is part of what I also wanted to capture, the convenience the wrapping for families. The wrap did take a little trip home with me, I had another fun staging session to do with the wrap and Christmas lights. This was a fun day, thankfully the weather held out for us and rain didn't visit us during our little session.

5 Days New: Baby Shae Baby Shae did so well during her session, she needed a little nursing break where I did take nursing photos, but those have been kept personal for the family. We had every little bodily function, pee, poo and spit up, which made us all giggle considering she was naked most of the time it wasn't surprising. This family was also so wonderful to work with, Ericia (center) the carrying mom, I have known since we were little and my mom would babysit her and her 3 other sisters. Carol (left) Ericia's wife and Tess (right) Carol's daughter and the big sister. A beautiful and very happy family! So much adoration for this little one, she is going to be so loved!! What a wonderful session this was. I even got to do my first wrapping a baby up in a stretchy wrap and cheesecloth.
At My Grandparents HouseHolidays are always a big thing for our family, we always get together for all the major holidays and usually every month for birthdays since we have a few people born in each month. This Thanksgiving was very packed, pretty much everyone but a few made it. We had just under 50 people who made it to Thanksgiving dinner and of course with that many people it is buffet style and sit wherever you can find a seat. It is always great fun, lots of laughs and wonderful memories. This year I wanted to focus my photography on my grandma and doing a life style type feel, meaning candid and unposed, capturing the emotion of my family. For the feast everyone brings a dish whether it is a appetizer, side, drinks or dessert everyone pitches in. The meal was delegated by my grandma, mom and my aunt. My grandma cutting up her pickles she made. My sister showing the pictures of her wedding dress shopping day (pictures were taken by me of course) My grandma watching the birthday people open their gifts. This year we combined November and December which equaled 8 birthday family members. There are many many more photos, like over 200 more, but these are the ones that I felt captured what I was trying to accomplish on Thanksgiving. Capturing that love that we as a family have for my amazing grandma!
The Sterling family was so much fun to photograph, we all were laughing and having a great time throughout the whole session. The morning was cold, but they were all good sports about it. Their session was taken at Lake Wilderness Park and Arboretum, we started in the arboretum, walked over to the park and then walked about and finished in the arboretum. I definitely got to capture some great family fun. The Sterling family was so wonderful to work with. This was also their first family photo session in a long time, I'm so honored I was asked to capture their family together.
