On this beautiful day I was able to photograph this gorgeous Woven Wings Geo tester, both Wynter (the official tester) and Kelsy, both wanted in on the wearing and photographing action. We photographed at Lake Wilderness Arboretum. Toddler and baby snuggles make wearing so amazing and with a gorgeous wrap like this it is the cherry on top! Look good while snuggling with your adorable baby, all around win!

Baby Oliver's photos were taken at 11 days new. He was such a wonderful adorable little guy to work with. It took a few minutes but he soon went to sleep, he stirred and took some coaxing to get back to sleep after I moved him, but he still did great. I was able to get him into a little sleep sack that my aunt made for me (so adorable), cheesecloth and changed the blankets a few times. We finished with getting him into mom and dad's loving arms and took photos of this new beautiful family of three. I couldn't decide which version I liked better, focus being on the hands of the loving parents holding their new precious bundle or focusing on the faces of them looking at their beautiful boy, so I included them both!
Why Have I Been So Quiet?Well I haven't been using my camera too much lately, I've been so exhausted lately I just haven't had the energy to take photos or even edit them. I have taken some photos and none of them have been edited, I'm a little behind, but they are all personal photos so it isn't too big of a deal. Why haven't I been using my camera and so exhausted? Well for starters my daughter is a horrible sleeper so when I can get the chance I have been sleeping or just trying to rest since I'm a horrible napper. Thankfully nausea hasn't been bad at all this time around... Yes, we are expecting our second little one. This was completely unplanned, undecided and a major surprise to us. Truthfully it threw us for a major loop! I was actually finally going to start doing massage again, but since finding out I'm pregnant I can't massage for very long so it wasn't worth it to get my licences back to active status. I've been focusing on wrapping my mind around the fact that we are having another one and just figure out what we will do differently this time around to hopefully make it a little easier since our first hasn't been easy. My first decision was to interview and find another midwife. Our first was birthed with Nancy Spencer at her Lakeside Birth Center, while it was a great experience, this time around I just want to stay home and deliver. For this pregnancy and delivery I'm choosing to go with Ann Olsen who will be coming to our home to help me deliver our second little one. I'm due the end of Septemberish. I really hate giving a date, because it is just a guess anyways, baby will come when baby is ready. Melia came a few days early of her guess date and I'm hoping this one will come early so there is no worries about dates. We will be finding out the sex of the baby, I want to know if I can keep all of our girl clothes or sell them to get boy clothes. We will be able to find out in early May what we are having and another announcement will follow shortly. Once again we will be breastfeeding, babywearing (my favorite), cosleeping and cloth diapering. This time I do want to try elimination communication at infancy, get this next kid out of diapers faster, heck yes! And I do want to try getting this next kid to take a bottle of breast milk so I can have some time to myself and not have to worry about only being gone so long with a kid that won't take sustenance from something other than myself. As with my first pregnancy I will be taking self portrait belly shots again and I'll blog those photos as well. I might even include the first belly vs the second belly. With Melia I did silhouette photos, I do want to do something different this time, but I might do a few silhouette shots to really compare size. But for now here are the little announcement photos of Melia going to be a big sister. Since she is just over 2 we haven't talked about the whole baby stuff with her yet and I haven't wanted her to pat my tummy yet saying baby when we are just now sharing the news. And we haven't decided where she will be during birth, I guess it all depends when baby comes and how her sleeping is at that point in time.
The Second (to be titled, but not named until arrival) will be updated throughout pregnancy, so stay tuned. |
