Winter Has Arrived
After I had taken a fall photo and decided to make this a series I started planning winter's photo. I obviously wanted snow to be represented for winter, but our winters are so touchy lately I never know when or if we will have snow, I kinda lost hope that we would get snow and started to plan having to edit snow into the photo. Thankfully we had a day that finally delivered snow so I could get my photo. Next I planned my head piece, I knew I wanted red and green. I took a trip to Joann's and found a few sprigs of winter berries. I took it all apart and ended up putting it all together making her little head piece. Lastly was her dress that had me stumped for a while. Initially I was thinking of doing all the photos in white or off white dresses, but since I had made her winter head piece with red and red is so bold and striking against white snow I decided to find a red dress. I found her dress on Amazon and fell in love with it and so did she actually. When I received it she was so excited to be able to wear it, she has actually been a little annoyed I wouldn't let her wear it until I took the photo.
With the head piece made, the dress ordered and a snow day finally here it was picture day! Before we went outside I got her dressed, kinda tamed her hair and practiced how I wanted her to stand and pose for me. I went outside without her and looked around for the perfect tree and found this tree right by our garbage cans and it knew would be perfect for the winter photo. I got my camera all set up, had her come out and quickly took this photo. We were outside for just a few minutes and were able to get this photo.
Here is the final photo for her "Winter Child Goddess" series.
