This month wasn't suppose to be of our daily home life, I actually did have plans outside of the house but with the girls getting colds and me getting the worst of it I wasn't really feeling fully up to an almost 2 hr drive up to the Tulip Festival this year. I'm so bummed we weren't able to go, I've never been to the Tulip festival and I was really looking forward to going with my sisters, mom, aunt and two cousins. But I did try to make the most of our stuck at home day!
This is my 3rd month of the 10 photos (and a few more) on the 10th of each month. I started participating in this photo project after following another local photographer friend Sara Arrigoni of The Blessed Everyday Photography through her 10-on-10 project. Morning play time with daddy and My Little Ponies followed by me playing with the My Little Ponies Playing a game of Candyland as a family, but the game wasn't finished because Melia broke out in hysterical tears because she wanted the cupcake card which would put her back down at the beginning. Doing some gardening with daddy She is growing way too fast!! But I am loving how I can start telling her how to pose and she will do it once! I've got to be fast on the trigger to get her! And this has been one of my goals to get a few naked Emery butt photos! She is just so adorably squishy, I love it! A little bit of sisterly love. Thankfully no potty accidents! Melia chose all her own clothes and shoes. Daddy was mowing the lawn so we put her noise defending headphones on her, she gets a little sensitive to load noises and doesn't like them too much. Dinner time was steak and zucchini noodles for Melia and the center of the spiralized zucchini noodles for Emery. And finish off the evening with bath time for Melia.

Another beautiful set of family photos taken at Lake Wilderness Arboretum. The Ling family was an easy and very photogenic family. I loved the smiles we were able to coax out of the little newly one year old Oliver. What an adorable kid and I took his adorable newborn photos last march, Oliver's Newborn Photos. What a great looking family, thank you Ling family for asking me to take your family photos!
I've been a bit quiet on here and haven't been updating much because of my little edition. Adding a second kid to the family has been challenging and wonderful.
Here are Emery's photos. The first set that are all in color are were taken with the help of another photographer friend Jennifer at Jenni B Photography I couldn't have gotten these photos without her help, little Emery made us work for these sleepy photos, the girl didn't want to go to sleep! Once again thanks Jennifer for helping me with Emery's newborn photos! On a cold and frosty Sunday morning I got to take the Kincaid family photos at Lake Wilderness Park. It was freezing out but that didn't stop us from getting some wonderful family photos. Since baby Priya turned 6 months we took a few of just her for her own 6 month photos. I can't believe 6 months ago I was at her birth and capturing her entry into this world. What adorable kids and a beautiful family!!
We ended up getting a good morning for family photos among the bright sun and hot heat.We had some cloud coverage one Sunday morning which ended up acting like a nice big soft box for our outdoor family photos. It did get a little windy, but we managed to make it work out well. The Schmitt family was so fun to work with, I came to their property and we photographed in their backyard then we went inside and took baby photos of your newest month old addition. They are such a lovely family! Such adorable little girls!
Baby Priya's newborn session was done at 19 days new. She wasn't wanting to get into that sleepy state, but I did get some adorable awake eye shots, which I think are just as wonderful! The hardest was trying to get a very active toddler to lay down and take directions, not easy at all, I only got a few photos of them together. And of course I also had to use mom's woven wrap that signifies a home water birth as a baby prop. Then I got a few nursing photos taken, I love photographing that personal and special moment in mother and baby's relationship.
I'm so late on blogging about this session that I took a few weeks ago, with being pregnant, dealing with a toddler and getting stuff ready for my sisters bridal shower I've been so busy and tired that I haven't done much else. On a gorgeous but chilly morning I took this maternity session of my friend and her little growing family at Lake Wilderness Arboretum. The session was a little challenging, little Saya wasn't the happiest, but we still got some adorable smiles from her and this gorgeous family. I can't wait for the next session when little baby "Kiwi" comes into this world.
On this beautiful day I was able to photograph this gorgeous Woven Wings Geo tester, both Wynter (the official tester) and Kelsy, both wanted in on the wearing and photographing action. We photographed at Lake Wilderness Arboretum. Toddler and baby snuggles make wearing so amazing and with a gorgeous wrap like this it is the cherry on top! Look good while snuggling with your adorable baby, all around win!
Little William is having his first birthday! He did so well during our whole session, mom got some adorable smiles from him. He has some gorgeous blue eyes! Such a good little guy with so many great photos!
