I got to do another babywearing session and wow this wrap is gorgeous! It is called Ferideh Garden of the Gods, it is a handwoven and hand painted wrap! And we also got in some lovely nurse wearing photos too. Photos were taken at Lake Wilderness Arboretum on a pretty warm the evening. WOW! Just look at those colors!

Baby Priya's newborn session was done at 19 days new. She wasn't wanting to get into that sleepy state, but I did get some adorable awake eye shots, which I think are just as wonderful! The hardest was trying to get a very active toddler to lay down and take directions, not easy at all, I only got a few photos of them together. And of course I also had to use mom's woven wrap that signifies a home water birth as a baby prop. Then I got a few nursing photos taken, I love photographing that personal and special moment in mother and baby's relationship.
On this beautiful day I was able to photograph this gorgeous Woven Wings Geo tester, both Wynter (the official tester) and Kelsy, both wanted in on the wearing and photographing action. We photographed at Lake Wilderness Arboretum. Toddler and baby snuggles make wearing so amazing and with a gorgeous wrap like this it is the cherry on top! Look good while snuggling with your adorable baby, all around win!
I photographed a session for Kelsy and the Kokoskaa Daydream wrap she is testing for the company. We went to Lake Wilderness Arboretum and walked around the trails having fun take photos. This wrap is gorgeous, but so is this family! Having a toddler and a baby makes wrapping so necessary, it is great to be able to be hands free but holding a baby while still being able to interact with the other sibling. That is part of what I also wanted to capture, the convenience the wrapping for families. The wrap did take a little trip home with me, I had another fun staging session to do with the wrap and Christmas lights. This was a fun day, thankfully the weather held out for us and rain didn't visit us during our little session.
Camping at Lake Wenatchee with FriendsMy husband and I had our first camping trip with our daughter and we were joined by our friends and their little girl that is Melia's age. We went to Lake Wenatchee State Park, I've been there a lot with my family and have always had fun there. For this trip we went for only 2 nights, we figured it would be a good ease into camping. My daughter is a terrible sleeper so I have to say I was a bit nervous on how the nights would go. The first night was really restless and cold, the second night was much better thankfully! The day we got there, Sunday, was so windy, but at least the wind blew away all the bugs. The second day was pretty perfect, slightly windy at times and warm. We went to the beach and walked around. My daughter for some reason hates sand and water right now, hopefully that will change soon. Her little friend Saya loved it and and had so much fun in the water. We also look a little hike along the river and around the camp grounds. We left on a lightly rain morning and headed for Leavenworth. We then spent a few hours there, walking the shops, eating ice cream and a pretzel. Rio sporting a Moxie and Oliver collar and tie Playing a game of washers while the girls were in a good mood With the girls watching us and trying to run away with the washers I guess two little girls needed to blow their noses Enjoying some ice cream in Leavenworth Eating, drinking and having fun at the 59er Diner before we headed home. This was such a fun trip and overall a good first camping trip experience with a toddler. The last night we were there I had an awesome lighting opportunity. I was seeing this amazing orange light in the sky and on the water's reflection from the sun passing through a cloud of smoke from the fires in Eastern Washington. Not a good thing at all, besides for the photos I was able to get. I literally made a snap decision to throw my daughter on my back in the ergo, grab my camera and tripod and head down to the beach to find a good location to take some photos. And this is what I got. I took photos along the whole beach but this area had the best back drop silhouette landscape. I really love the first one and the focus that goes to the sun rays. The second one shows the whole scene that I got to play with. I figured since I had the tripod set up that I might as well do a little babywearing self portrait. I didn't have my remote with me, so I just set it on the timer and walked quickly over there to have our photo taken. And lastly a took a photo of a random couple that was sitting and enjoying the wonderful colors and view.
The sun did pass out of this orange smoke haze and I'm so glad I ditched the others to do the dishes to capture this while it lasted. My friend took me on a little date with our baby girls. We went tea tasting at Vital Tea Leaf they have a huge assortment of natural and traditional Chinese teas. After tea tasting we had lunch at Athenian Seafood Restaurant & Bar, that was my first time eating there and it was yummy. Once all our bellies were filled we walked around Pike Place Market also enjoying some gelato at Bottega Italiana and had some Turkish Delight and Baklava. Before we left we played around in the park/grassy hill. I wish I would have taken more photos, but having a squirmy child on my back makes it a little difficult to get pictures. Eventually I would love to do a photo walk during market time and do some street photography. Having fun coloring while waiting for lunch at Athenian Seafood Restaurant and Bar. Both of us wore our little girls, so much easier to navigate through busy crowded streets than with a stroller. My friend was in her Didymos Indio and I was in my Ergo. We had to do a little babywearing photo opt, would have loved to have had a reflector, but I was traveling really light since I was already wearing my daughter and mini diaper bag. This is my photo for week 23 Movement in the Project 52, there is so much movement going on in the market. Chatting with some random strangers. My little girl can be so not shy and other times not want strangers to even look at her. Eating some apricots. Running around and dancing in the sun A little group photo. I'm rarely in front of the lens, but I'm glad we got a random person to take a photo of the four of us. Do you always document your trips?
